The film Remembering Jesse celebrates the life and legacy of Jesse W. Bradley. Told through stories by his family and friends, this film shares fond memories of a man known and loved by many.
The footage in the film was made in 2013 while filming for a surprise 80th birthday party for Jesse. At the time of filming I also asked family to imagine a scenario where Jesse was known to be in his final hours, where they had one opportunity to say their final words to him. As the original film was in celebration of his birthday, this footage was archived.
On June 3, 2018, Jesse passed away just a few days short of turning 85 years old. For a season of time prior to this, his physical health and mental state were steadily declining. What friends and family did not know was that also in 2013, during the filming for his surprise birthday, I called him one afternoon in April and asked him if I could ask a few questions on camera. He was feeling particularly well that day and told me to come by. In this film, you'll hear directly from him as well.
